Keroro Platoon's Human Allies In Earth

The Hinata Family

Opposing and controlling the Keroro Platoon is the surprisingly normal Hinata Family. The son of the family is Fuyuki Hinata, who is obsessed with all things paranormal and supernatural. The daughter is Natsumi Hinata, the gifted one and the main voice of reason. The mother, Aki Hinata, is a manga editor who takes a liking to Keroro due to him becoming an inspiration for her new manga.
Fuyuki Hinata ( Hinata Fuyuki "Winter")
Fuyuki is a 13-year-old boy who captures Keroro and keeps him in his house. Fuyuki is a fan of the paranormal, including aliens and UFOs, so naturally he's delighted to have a real alien living in his home. He is average in academics and sports, somewhat naive and absent-minded, and doesn't know how to swim, but Fuyuki is considered a genius (the move he used in this batin the field of paranormal studies (and scary stories). He is also quite the detective and can be very cunning when he's trying to crack a case. Despite Keroro's repeated attempts to conquer the Earth, Fuyuki develops something resembling a friendship with Keroro as the series progresses. If the sergeant goes too far in an invasion scheme, Fuyuki will get so mad that in the manga his face will not be shown when he gets this way. This anger is more than enough to make Keroro change his mind on invasion, Natsumi mentions that even she can't stop him once he's like this. Although Momoka shows her love for him in obvious and various ways, he has absolutely no clue that she likes him, although he might have some feelings for her. The name Fuyuki means "winter tree", and "winter" ( fuyu) is written on his room's door.
Natsumi Hinata (Hinata Natsumi, a.k.a. "723"/ "Summer"/"Devil Summer")

Natsumi is Fuyuki Hinata's 14-year-old big sister. She is smart and athletic, but also emotional, and somewhat overprotective of her brother; in grade school, Natsumi's fierce temper earned her the nickname "Devil Summer", known to use her strength in purely protection of her brother, while it is actually questionable. Natsumi is frequently suspicious of the aliens, and pushes Keroro around whenever she can. She also has a huge one-sided crush on Mutsumi Saburo and she listens to his radio show any time she can (Although she doesn't know that it is his show because he uses the code name 623). Her three measurements (in cm) are 80-56-80, her birthday is December 2nd, and she has a deep fear of slugs. Although she refers to Keroro as boke-gaeru ("stupid frog"), she generally gets along with the rest of the Keroro Platoon, and even develops feelings for Giroro as time passes. Although Natsumi is super-strong, there is one sport that she couldn't defeat Keroro in, and that is swimming (after all, he is a frog-type alien). She later on is given a neck brace made by Kururu that gives her the armor and abilities of a Gundam Robot and she helps the gang in battle whenever they most need her. The name Natsumi means "summer beauty", and "summer" is written on her bedroom door in English. Her code-number, 723, is derived from her name; na from nana "7", tsu from the Japanese pronunciation of "2", and mi "3".
Aki Hinata (Hinata Aki)
Fuyuki and Natsumi's stunningly beautiful (and incredibly buxom) single mother. Aki is a manga editor who decided to base the main character of her latest manga on Keroro. She is also a black belt aikido master, and the strongest member of the Hinata family. She's surprised (and a bit disappointed) by how "normal" Keroro's lifestyle on Earth is. Her three measurements (in cm) are 92-60-86, and she has a strange attraction to things that are sticky and moist. Her name, Aki, means "autumn" in Japanese.
Humorously, she was mentally pictured by Natsumi and Fuyuki as Eva Unit One going Beserk (a reference to what Eva Unit One actually is) when she was first mentioned in the manga.
Other Allies:
the wealthy Momoka Nishizawa and her butler Paul Moriyama. They are friends of the Hinata Family, and Tamama lives with them. Momoka secretly admires Fuyuki Hinata and tries all kinds of ways to make him fall in love with her. Other human friends include the radio show host Mutsumi Hojo and the female ninja Koyuki Azumaya. A friend of the Keroro Platoon is Angol Mois, the King of Terror, who was sent to Earth to destroy it, but is now forced to protect it for Keroro. Other humanoid aliens include the space detective Kogoro and his sister, Lavie. Sumomo is a recurring character in the anime, where she is a highly popular singer, while in the manga she only appears in a bonus chapter. And late to arrive is Alisa SouthernCross and Pururu.
Momoka Nishizawa (西澤 桃華 Nishizawa Momoka, Codename: "Peach")

A 13-year old bipolar multi-billionaire (she is the only child of the head of the Nishizawa zaibatsu) who has a huge crush on Fuyuki. She is the "owner" of Tamama, and like him she appears very cute and innocent, but has a manipulative and violent side. One time, she and her violent side's hearts were so unconnected that they split up into two Momokas, but were reunited into one body with the help of Keroro and some synchronized swimming. Sometimes, the calm Momoka can communicate with her violent side, but in mind, so when Momoka is talking to the other one, to other people, it looks like she's talking to herself (and she is). She puts much of her vast fortune into her romantic pursuit of Fuyuki, with only limited success. Even when she's trying to admit her love for Fuyuki personally, she always gets interrupted by an alien or another human. Her name derives from momo, the Japanese word for "peach"; the ka derives from a different reading of hana, the Japanese word for "flower".
Paul Moriyama
Momoka's butler and sometime-bodyguard. He is fiercely protective of his mistress, and willing to do anything for Momoka, from helping with her efforts to win over Fuyuki to risking his life for hers. As a war veteran, he has a rather strong feeling of camaraderie with the Keronian invaders (especially Giroro), whom he sees as fellow soldiers. Paul was defeated by Momoka's father, Nishizawa Baio, many years ago in a battle (Pōru-Reppa was a parody of Ken Masters' Shōryū Reppa from the Street Fighter video game), becoming one of the most favored Nishizawa butlers. He is sometimes accompanied by other soldiers, minor recurring characters who are seen protecting Momoka or tracking things in their headquarters.
Mutsumi Saburo (ムツミ・サブロー Mutsumi Saburō, a.k.a. "623-326")
Classmate of Natsumi, known as Mutsumi Hojo in the manga. A poet/artist/philosopher who skips class a lot. He has his own radio show which Natsumi listens to. His partner is Sergeant Major Kururu (Kururu-sōchō), who gave him a pen that allows him to draw anything and make it appear. In the manga, Mutsumi first met the Sergeant Major when the Keronian tried to strike off on his own and turn the students of Saburo's school into his servants. The reason that the two get along so well is because they share the same wavelength. Saburo is a genius, who got a perfect score of 300 out of 300 on an IQ test, and is excellent at sports as well. He has a hard time fitting in with his classmates (especially the male ones) because of this. Although Mutsumi is extremely clever and observant, he seems unaware of Natsumi's crush on him. Every time he comes near Natsumi, he is pushed aside by a jealous Giroro. Mutsumi also makes a few appearances in the anime series Seven of Seven. His nickname comes from a form of Japanese number wordplay.
Koyuki Azumaya (東谷 小雪 Azumaya Koyuki, Codename: Snow)
A 14-year-old kunoichi who is the partner of Dororo and the one who introduced him to the ways of the ninja. She has cheerful and peppy personality, and is never seen to be as angry as Natsumi would be with Keroro if he causes chaos. Koyuki is an incredibly talented fighter (she beat Momoka Nishizawa, who was wearing the latest in Nishizawa group battle suit technology in addition to her impressive berserker skills, in a fight over a ticket to a hot spring trip) who came from her hidden ninja village in the country with Dororo to help him find the rest of his squad. Since she lived away from the city for her whole childhood, she continues to go along with the ways of the ninja, even when a lot of people are looking (such as walking a mall wall from the outside), and is unfamiliar with Japanese culture (such as giving chocolate to the person a girl likes on Valentine's Day, the Japanese way of New Year's, and Hinamatsuri). She attends the same school as Fuyuki, Natsumi, and Momoka (although she continues to wear her old school uniform). The Azumaya part of Koyuki's name means "Eastern Valley" (azuma means "east"; ya is another way to pronounce tani, which means "valley"), the ko of Koyuki means "small", and the yuki means "snow".

Angol Mois
Angol Mois is the "King of Terror", who is ditzy and insecure as a result of her impact from space. She was sent to planet Earth to arrive in July 1999 for Earth's destruction, as predicted by Nostradamus, under orders from her father. She states during her first appearance that she told Nostradamus to deliver a message to the humans warning them of her arrival. In the anime, she arrives 500 years too early and takes a nap in orbit, until she wakes up in 2004, 5 years too late. In the manga, she lands near Fuyuki, while in the anime, she lands on Giroro's tent. In both, she is taken into the Hinatas' home, where she is nursed back to health by Natsumi. When she wakes up, she reveals her true form and starts to destroy the Earth, until Keroro, who arrives later, is persuaded by Fuyuki to stop Mois. The Angols use seemingly magical weapons to destroy planets. Her weapon is the "Lucifer Spear", which, when not in use, looks and functions like a cellphone. When she is using her attack, "Hellmageddon", the Lucifer Spear becomes a golden staff with a crescent moon on one end and a meteor on the other end. She uses the meteor end to initiate Hellmageddon. She is close friends with Keroro, who she calls oji-sama, which means, roughly, "uncle". Whenever she sees anyone hitting Keroro is any way, she transforms and uses a watered down version of Hellmageddon, which usually catches others, including Keroro, in the blast. Tamama often competes with her for Keroro's attention (and affection). Her transformation sequences, stylized costume, and related accessories may make her a parody of the magical girl genre. As an added note, Mois' Pekopon form wears a hair clip explicitly in the shape of the Science Patrol's Ryuusei-mark in the anime (while the girl whose form/soul she "borrowed" has an Ultra Garrison-mark hair clip). Her name is frequently used in puns on the Japanese phrase moe-moe, which usually refers to a cute girl who appeals to older members of the audience.
To blend in with the Earth people, Mois also transforms into a tanned, bleached-blonde teenage kogal who is always seen in a school uniform and loose socks. Her true form is a pale gray-haired girl who wears a purple-and-white magical girl costume. Although the King of Terror, she is anything but terrifying. She's sweet, clumsy, and peppy but can be scary when she's in Angol form, and uses her Lucifer Spear to split the Earth. She got her Earth-look from when she first arrived in 1999 (2004 in the anime), before she met the Hinatas. In the anime she saw a teenage girl (named Masami) who was beating up some thugs in order to protect her friends. Amazed by her courage, she decided to be like that girl and chose her appearance as her Earth-form. In the manga she saw a girl shake off her friend/underling and decided to become like her, following her father's advice to think only of herself while on her mission.
Alisa Southerncross

Protector of Fuyuki (at times) and ally of the Keroro Platoon. Originally an enemy of the Keroro Platoon, she is a toy doll who is trying to become human with the help of her adoptive father Nevula, who forms her kitty-ears bow on her head. Alisa, although late in the series to appear, has made frequent appearances in Seasons 3 and 4. Often angers Momoka Nishizawa by simply referring to Hinata Fuyuki as "Fuyuki" with no title/honorific.
Sumomo

A pink Keronian-like alien, Sumomo was a character in a one-shot side story in the manga, but in the anime she's a highly popular idol singer who makes the occasional recurring appearance. Members of her species, the Axolotl (a play on the amphibian group that includes newts and salamanders), are able to change shape from a Keronian-like form to a human-like form via rapid thyroxine secretion.
Karara

A green Keronian Tadpole that always appears with either her childhood friend Taruru, or her twin sister Chiroro. She met and was trained by Tamama and became the Private Third Class of the Keroro Platoon. In her later appearances, she comes to Earth to hide from her father, Dobaba, who was attempting to kill her as punishment for the trouble she caused the Keroro Platoon and her father in her first appearance. In these situations, she always gets saved by, and falls in love with, a different member of the Keroro Platoon.
Kogoro
(556) A human-like alien and space detective who is a childhood friend of Keroro. He isn't very good at his job, and instead lives in a cheap apartment on a shoestring budget. Kogoro seems to grin and laugh all the time, regardless of his actual feelings. His hobbies include collecting colored boxes. His appearance and mannerisms are a parody of Kenji Ooba, the star of the tokusatsu series Space Sheriff Gavan.
Lavie
Kogoro's younger sister, a shy and sweet girl with rabbit ears who helps support her brother by taking part-time jobs. She is the only one who can tell how Kogoro is really feeling.

Neko
Giroro's beloved cat that lives with him and the Hinata family. She was first found as a stray who Giroro found in the rain during episode 12. Neko began to befriend Giroro and lives with him in his tent. Neko continuously appears throughout the series and in some episodes turns into a human using a special gun made by Kururu. In episode 32 Neko is jealous of Natsumi.

the KERORO PLATOON

KERORO PLATOON

The initial operation of the Keroro Platoon was to stealthly survey Earth and relay information to the awaiting Keron Invasion Army. The five members were dispatched throughout Greater Tokyo and surrounding area to assess Earth's weakness and prepare for total military takeover. Having quickly infiltrated the Hinata house, Sergeant Keroro concealed himself in one of the bedrooms, but was accidentally discovered by the Hinata children, a pair of middle school siblings. Shocked by their ability to see him, he was overpowered, captured and temporarily stripped of his weapon, the Kero Ball. With Keroro coming into direct contact with the Earthlings, the invading army lost their element of surprise, deemed the campaign compromised and immediately started withdrawal procedures from Earth's orbit.

Abandoned by the army and without the support of his platoon, Keroro must unite his scattered soldiers, survive his prisoner of war manual labor, and outwit his captors. He is eventually united with his platoon and subsequently given revised orders to continue the invasion campaign, but by themselves. Now, they must fulfill their new mission, protect their human friends, their home base, and save the Earth from other alien invaders. And still have time for Keroro to make his Gunpla models.

The platoon's hierarchy in military rank is similar to the Army ranks of the Japanese Empire during World War II and have based certain weapons and terms after the Imperial Japanese Military, but remains faithful to the perception of the alien invader with higher technological achievements.

Members

Sergeant Keroro (ケロロ軍曹 Keroro-gunsō)
The erstwhile leader and eternal antihero of the series, Keroro is usually pretty easygoing (to the point of laziness), but can be charismatic, resourceful, and even manipulative if he believes it will serve his interests. Although Keroro is clever and implied to have been a very good soldier in the past, he is typically ruled by his hobbies (especially Gundam models), easy to emotionally cow, and distracted by pretty much everything. He's typically the butt of the series' humor, usually after taking advantage of his Earthling hosts or his other squad members (though often enough through simple bad luck). If surrounded by enough humidity, Keroro becomes "Keroro From Back Then", where his physical and mental strength increase drastically, and he becomes dangerously aggressive. Of the entire Keroro Platoon, he has the most Pokopen Suits, possessing ten total. He often ends his sentences with de arimasu', a formal term for "it is" or "let it be so" - and particularly associated with those in the armed forces. His birthday is on December 9th, which is a mere week after Natsumi's birthday (see below about more of their rivalry). The name Keroro comes from kerokero, the Japanese word for the sound a frog makes. He is the only platoon member whose resonance is not a simple repeat of the first two syllables of his name (Keroro's resonance sound is "gerogerogero..." as opposed to Tamama's "tamatamatama..." or Giroro's "girogirogiro..."). His emblem is a star. He is the traditional green of a frog.

Keroro is a sergeant of Planet Keron's Army, and the commander of the Keroro Platoon.

According to Earth's Gregorian calendar, Keroro's birthday is December 9.His blood type is O. Watanabe, Keroro's seiyū, has stated that she played Keroro as someone who was about 45 years old. Keroro described himself to be a child when Nintendo started selling the Game & Watch systems.

Keroro's name comes from the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a frog makes ("kerokero")

Keroro's body is green, accompanied with a yellow headgear with a red star in the middle (a yellow star is also seen on Keroro's stomach). According to Lieutenant Garuru, the star is the symbol of the Keron Force as well as its commanding officers. The star itself has the ability to lend it's dignity to the wearer. However, since Keroro lacks character, the effect is nullified while he wears it.When Keroro is met with an explosion , he suddenly grows a large black afro as a running gag reference to "Afro Gunsou", the anime's first ending theme song.

Despite his role as leader, Keroro can be lazy and cowardly at times. He can be extremely selfish, sometimes sacrificing his friends wellbeing for his own safety. Keroro constantly schemes plans to siphon money from the people of earth to either fuel his invasion schemes, or to buy more Gundam models. Despite a vow he made to keep the Hinata's separate from his invasion of earth, their constant meddling in his plans usually has him restraining them, and occasionally trying to bully Natsumi.

Keroro's hobbies include manga/television (his favorite being "Admiral Geroro") and internet surfing, but is especially enthusiastic about the creation and compilation of Gunpla (Gundam plastic models), possessing numerous models in his room. In addition, whenever Keroro sees a banana peel on the ground, Keroro steps on it without fail, as it is apparently his devout wish to entertain the masses.

Long ago on Planet Keron, Giroro, Pururu, and Dororo were childhood friends of Keroro. Keroro had a "Go to the place where one is told not to go, and enter the place where one is told not to enter" way of life, which often led the four friends on numerous, often dangerous, adventures. Inspired by his Father, famed war veteran, Keroro had his sights toward becoming a soldier. He would often wear a fake Keron Star on his chest, hopeful of achieving the rank of captain. Sometime between his time on Keron and on earth, he met Kururu and Tamama and formed the Keroro Platoon.

Upon arriving on earth, the Keroro Platoon somehow got separated. Keroro lurked in the Hinata household until he was discovered by Natsumi and Fuyuki, after which he was captured. With the Kero Ball, his weapon, taken from him and his army having abandoned him, Keroro easily surrendered. The freeloader (formerly a prisoner of war) becomes troublesome for the Hinata Family. Each time he is found guilty of something, Natsumi physically abuses him to no end. But now, through being the housekeeper of the Hinata household, Keroro has become familiar to living an adventurous life on Earth.

Because of his everyday life as the house cleaner in the Hinata household, Keroro is an exceptional cleaner and curler.

Though Keroro often displays no combat prowess whatsoever, he was responsible for the scar across Giroro's eye.

If Keroro is exposed to an environment with high humidity, he will slip into a state of mind where he is his former self from "Back Then". During which, he will actually act as a more competent captain, issuing Natsumi's restrain and going forth with the invasion of earth. The only thing that can free him from this mania is an attack by a Nyororo.

According to the anime, Keroro's biggest fear is his own father. Furthermore, Keroro slips on any banana peel laid out in front of him. Whenever Fuyuki says the word 'friend', Keroro becomes consumed with feelings of guilt. In addition, he dislikes capsicums. Keroro is also a drooling otaku for all things Gunpla, which is by far his biggest weakness.

Keroro gets along well with Fuyuki, unlike with Natsumi who considers the invaders a nuisance. Keroro is the son of the famously powerful Demon Sergeant. He is idolized by Tamama who has a type of possessive affection for him while Angol Mois has a more mutual affection, though Keroro doesn't realize Mois' attempts to get closer. Another of Keroro's closest friends is Aki Hinata who, though she at first considered the invaders as just an idea for a new manga, now considers them as part of her family. He is childhood friends of Giroro and Dororo (formerly Zeroro), though he seemed to abuse and take advantage of Dororo at every turn through their early years. He is also in love with Pururu.

Keroro mostly speaks in the first person. In his more high-strung moments, he speaks with a Kumamoto tone.Keroro usually ends his sentences with 'de arimasu', which roughly translates to 'that is it' and is a standard military sentence ending.Whenever Keroro is scheming, he emits a raspy "Ge~ro gero gero...". Lastly, whenever he speaks English words, such as 'radio' or 'no problem', he rolls any R's in it.

Corporal Giroro (ギロロ伍長 Giroro-gochō)

The platoon's combat specialist, the series' maniac, and often Kururu's guinea pig. Giroro is a grizzled veteran, and is often at odds with Keroro and Kururu for their unmilitary demeanor and lack of dedication to the invasion. Giroro has a scar across his left eye that is rumored to have been inflicted by Keroro in a fight long ago. He has a fierce temper that sometimes drives him into "combat mode", where he aggressively attacks the enemy, speaking in only simple words and ignoring all other orders. However, he has a soft spot for Natsumi Hinata that eventually develops into a full-blown crush. Giroro also has a rivalry with Kururu that borders between love and hate. His love for Natsumi sometimes gets in the way of invasion operations, almost as much as Keroro's lack of focus. Similarly, though, once the rest of the platoon becomes aware of his crush, they will often use it to manipulate Giroro to agreeing with their plans (usually by implying that, somehow, whatever they're planning will make Natsumi happy). Giroro also acquires a pet cat that is in love with him. Giroro lives in a tent, concealed from busybodies by Keronian technology, in the backyard of the Hinata household. He and Kururu tie for the least amount of unique Pokopen Suits, having only two each. His name derives from the Japanese word girogiro, which is an adjective describing sharp-looking eyes. His emblem is a skull, which he only wears on his hat; in place of the emblem the other frogs have on their bellies, he has a belt that conceals a picture of Natsumi, which he considers a talisman. Without it, his performance on and off the battlefield is crippled. Giroro's speech trait is not as obvious as others (like Keroro's de arimasu, Tamama's desu~, Kururu's da ze~, or Dororo's de gozaru), but he often ends his sentences with da, another form of the normal desu ("it is") which is most often used by "manly" characters.

Private Second Class Tamama (タママ二等兵 Tamama-nitohei)
Tamama is the youngest, least experienced member of the platoon, and the resident physical combatant (despite appearances). This is represented in two ways: his emblem is the mirror image of the Shoshinsha mark, a Japanese emblem for "New Driver", and he has a tadpole-like tail. Like a tadpole, Tamama is black. He refers to himself as the "cute and lovely" member of the Keroro platoon. Tamama is also inordinately fond of sweets, and Giroro seems to think living with the fabulously wealthy Momoka has spoiled him. He loves to eat junk food and read manga. Tamama is prone to mood swings; due to his split personality (like Nishizawa Momoka), the slightest provocation can cause him to go from cute and happy to a violent lunatic who can fire an energy blast (known as "Tamama Impact", "Neo Tamama Impact", or "Hyper Tamama Impact", depending on the strength) from his mouth as well as multi-targeting eye beams, and a dark sphere formed by condensing ambient jealousy (called the "Jealousy Shot" which derives from the Japanese word shitto, which means "jealousy"). This usually gets him in more trouble than he already is, though. Tamama seems to believe in returning any and all favors to him or to the Sergeant. His devotion to the Sergeant is slightly obsessive to the point of wanting relations with him (in volume four of the manga while drunk he claims that his New Year's resolution is to have a romantic love affair with Keroro); he will sometimes attempt to discredit or destroy others in order to get closer to the Sergeant, although no-one else seems to notice his jealousy. He is particularly hateful of Angol Mois, whose affection for Keroro is much more pure. He has four different Pokopen Suits, granting him the second highest number of suits after Keroro. He often ends his sentences with desu~, which roughly translates as "it is" (a less formal version of Keroro's de arimasu and perhaps the most common way modern Japanese says "it is" - but Tamama lengthens it in a way that would be considered "cute"). His name is derived from the Japanese word for "tadpole", otamajakushi. In addition, the Japanese word tamatama means "unexpected" or "unpredictable", which describes his personality rather accurately.
Sergeant Major Kururu (クルル曹長 Kururu-sōchō, a.k.a 9-6-6)

The platoon's intelligence and strategic planning officer. He is yellow, with an orange cap and usually wearing headphones. Though technically superior in rank to Keroro, he defers to him on most issues (usually because Keroro is supplying the funding for his bizarre experiments). He is thoroughly unmilitary, and as such is on very poor terms with Giroro. Though, as of the third season, Kururu is shown to have a twisted affection for Giroro. Out of the five, he's considered the least popular because of his gloomy and inquisitive nature, which leads him to play elaborate pranks on those around him. He's also an inventor and unabashed pervert, as many of his devices are designed with what Keroro calls a "kinky role-play effect" in mind (such as the age-changing rays from manga chapters 23 and 24, and the "oni-girl" gun from chapter 31). Despite his unmotivated attitude and resistance to advice, he has a weakness in the form of Angol Mois, sometimes seeing her as a source of income, though uncomfortable at being stared at by her (according to the "Learn to Draw Kururu" (Keroro Platoon Authorized! Passionate Learn to Draw Song!!) song he sings during the end credits of Episodes 47 and 48, he is extremely discomforted by people with entirely pure hearts). As a reference to his being the "yellow" member of the Keroro Platoon, Kururu loves curry; in Episode 118 in the anime, he is even seen bathing in it. In Keroro Gunso the Super Movie 2: The Deep Sea Princess, an extra feature involving the childhood of Keroro and his friends is included. In the feature, Kururu falls into a bowl of curry rice, causing his blue skin to turn yellow from soaking in curry too much. Many of the things that happen in the series revolve around the crazy inventions he comes up with. Of the entire Keroro Platoon, Kururu has the fewest suits, tied with Giroro; both only have two. His name derives from the Japanese word kurukuru, which means "spinning" or "twisted". Also, Kururu is a hunchback, which is kuru in Japanese. He also has a codename (the numbers 9-6-6), because 9-6-6 is ku-ru-ru when pronounced separately. His name is frequently romanized as "Kululu" in the manga and anime, but the Tokyopop translation of the manga used "Kururu" until Volume 11, when Kadokawa requested a change to "Kululu" in all future volumes and reprints of prior volumes. His emblem is a swirl (resembling his thick glasses). Kururu punctuates things with a stand-out laugh, "Ku~ ku ku". He does this when he gets the upper hand on someone, when the tables are turned on him, when he's being mysterious, or when he's just being a jerk - and frequently in place of actual dialogue. He does have a speech trait (da yo "it is", or da ze) although he uses it to a much lesser extent than Tamama, Keroro, and Dororo. He also makes frequent use of the word "pochito" when (literally) pressing buttons in the anime, which translates to "I press" and when his glasses shatter or get lost, he'll say "megane, megane" ("my glasses, my glasses").

Kururu is the brain of the Keroro Platoon, officially in charge of intelligence and planning, and the alien partner of Mutsumi Hojo. However, he is extremely mischievous, deceitful, and downright evil and enigmatic, almost to the point where some people might call him a mad scientist. He is generally disliked by everyone, most of the characters seeing him as a depressing jerk and in the series, action figures of him tend to sell very poorly on Keron, (much to Kururu's chagrin[1] but Kururu seems to take pride in his bad attitude). Despite this, he gets along quite well with Mutsumi and Aki Hinata. Kururu and Giroro greatly loathe each other due to their vast differences (Brain vs. Brawn) and as a result, Kururu usually uses Giroro as a guinea pig for any invention that he creates, and when the platoon and their human friends are having a spooky story competition, Kururu tortures Giroro by hooking him up to the 'fear meter' that measures how scary the story was (using Giroro's own fear). By the third season however, Kururu seems to have developed a sort of crush on Giroro, much to the corporal's abject horror, blushing whenever Giroro pays extra attention to him, and wasting no opportunity to woo Giroro by way of gift or twisted invention. Whether this affection is genuine, or merely a new way for him to torment Giroro remains a mystery. Being the least emotional of the Keroro Platoon, he is almost never seen being moved to tears or smiles by any events, though at the same time he rarely, if ever, panics when something goes wrong, likely due to the multiple dangers from his own inventions outweighing it.

Kururu's body color is yellow, though he was originally blue. It is revealed in Chibi Kero: Secret of the Kero Ball!? that he was dyed yellow due to falling in a large plate of curry. His stomach has a red swirly mark on it; a yellow one is also located on his hat, though it is purple in the 114th episode of the anime. Spirals can also be seen on his glasses. When these glasses are removed in one way or another, Kururu often begins to mumble "my glasses, my glasses" and starts searching for his glasses. His headphones have the ability to take the sound a person hates the most and send it into their brain, usually using the antenna located inside of them, and it can also erase other people's memory (surprisingly, this is a very painless process).[3] Kururu also loves curry, but often takes this to the extreme, even seen bathing in it, and can withstand even the spiciest curries.

In the Musha Kero storyline, Kururu reinvents himself as Kururu Yabui (Barber-Surgeon), with a doctor's reflector added to his hat, and a long-sleeved orange robe with white jagged lines and triangles on the cuffs, worn over a traditional vest and baggy pants.

  • Kururu's remote control resembles an iPod.
  • Kururu dislikes sukiyaki.
  • Kururu's favorite dish is curry. He loves it so much he bathes in it. It is shown in the Secret of the Kero Ball that his color originates from bathing in curry. It is unknown if bathing in curry is essential to maintain his yellow colour.
  • Kururu often punctuates his sentences with a high-pitched laugh pronounced 'kukuku'; this may allude to his mischievous nature, as 'ku' can mean '9', but has the same pronunciation as 'bitterness'.
  • Kururu's favorite word seems to be "Pochito" or in English, "I press."
  • Kururu is known to be immune to disgusting foods and can eat a lot of it nonstop.
  • In episode 83, Kururu as an infant is revealed to have an unusual high-pitched cry as well, roughly transliterated as 'Baabobee~!'

Kururuko In episodes 47 and 82, Kururu disguises himself as a magical girl complete with short, orange hair, a uniform, a wand and wings. In episode 47, Kururu became Keroro's guide in Hinamatsuri. In episode 82, Kururu was a contestant for 623's radio contestant, in which he won.
Old Lady Kururu disguises himself as a little old lady in episode 63 of the anime as a diversion for Fuyuki and Momoka's teacher. The teacher has to carry Kururu on his back.
Baby In the second half of Episode 83, "Kururu, The Most Dislikeable Guy", he is hit by a "If You Can Do Life Over Again" gun, thus transforming him into a baby. It is found that Kururu had about the same intelligence as a baby as he does as an adult; being able to fix the "If You Can Do Life Over Again" gun without the blueprint.
Frankenstein Kururu dons this attire in order to attend a Halloween party in the 133rd episode of the anime.

Lance Corporal Dororo (ドロロ兵長 Dororo-heichō)
The quiet one. He is blue with light blue eyes. Originally named Zeroro, he is always calm, and never loses his temper. He was trained to be the top assassin in the Keronian Army. Since coming to Earth, however, he has begun following the way of the ninja (along with his "owner", Koyuki), and become an avid nature lover. Thus, he always objects to plans that would damage Earth's eco-system. He also never kills a living thing; he always uses the back of his sword to strike his opponents, so as not to harm them. He first met Koyuki when he got caught in a kappa trap she made. Dororo's name change may be linked to the fact that the forest Koyuki found him in has the same name. He's known Keroro and Giroro since they were little, and though they were "friends", Keroro took advantage of Dororo more often than not. Perhaps appropriate for a ninja, Dororo lacks presence - and is therefore often forgotten or ignored by the rest of the squad. He is often reminded of Keroro's abuses of their "friendship" when they were young, which usually results in him breaking down crying from his "Trauma Switch" turning on. Dororo has three Pokopen Suits, putting him barely ahead of Kururu and Giroro. He often ends his sentences with de gozaru (an archaic form of the normal desu, used by samurais and ninjas in Japanese TV series and movies describing the Sengoku era). His name derives from doron, which is a Japanese onomatopoeia for disappearing like a ninja. In addition, the Japanese word dorodoro means syrupy, which can refer to his sentimental tendencies and the image of him crying in trauma. (It should be noted that there is an anime about ninja called Dororo.) His emblem is a shuriken. He does not wear the military hats of other Kerons; instead, he wears a skull cap with loose fabric hanging like a curtain around the back and sides of his head. Also, he wears a face mask that covers his mouth and where his nose would be - typical ninja garb - although he is seen wearing a gas mask in some scenes where he is still part of the Keronian Military, and he wears a surgical mask in flashbacks that take place during his childhood. He is easily forgotten or left behind.

After crash landing on Pekopon, Zeroro was rescued by kunoichi Koyuki Azumaya (in the anime, he was rescued by Koyuki and Zeroyasha). Wishing to follow the way of the ninja, Zeroro changed his name to Dororo, after the forest where he was rescued. He spends most of his time training, reading, or spying on the actions of Keroro Platoon and others. Dororo is often forgotten by the rest of Keroro Platoon, causing his psychological trauma switch to turn on, making him sit in a corner and cry. Also, Dororo will not participate in plans that are potentially harmful to people's feelings or well being, the nature, etc.

A blue Keronian. Throughout his childhood, Zeroro wore a medical mask. The ears of his white hat were shrouds. His symbol is a red shuriken. Before when he was an assassin, he wore a gas mask. As the ninja Dororo, he dons a ninja mask and sheath for his sword strapped to his back. Unlike the rest of the Keroro platoon, Dororo's personal hoverboard lacks the twin steering columns and is shaped like a massive shuriken. In dire situations Dororo can go into his full battle form, going through a transformation sequence inspired directly by Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, with two full-length swords across his back, and his usual assassin headgear traded for a ninja-style headgear with a metal headband.

In the Musha Kero storyline, Dororo assumes the tile of Dororo Touryo (Chieftain), and wears a blue version of his old assassin gasmask with his full battle headgear, topped with a new metallic headband. A red scarf, a short blue robe and oversized gloves and kneepads complete the outfit. Among his multiple weapons is a beam-emitting version of his old dagger. He also gains the ability to run so fast that his own shadow becomes blurred.

As a child, Zeroro's hobby was gardening. Currently, he trains his physical swiftness and mental swiftness through meditation.

Zeroro was part of a large, wealthy family. He was friends with Keroro and Giroro, as well as Pururu later on. Though, he was often exploited by Keroro for dangerous tasks. Throughout their friendship, Keroro has broken Zeroro's beloved music box, used his stamp collection, wrote in his novels, etc. His friendship with Keroro was strained, as opposed to his with Giroro.

Zeroro graduated from the Keron Military Academy under the rank of Lance Corporal. After serving alongside Zoruru in an elite assassin squad, under the command of Captain Jirara, he was assigned as the assassin of the Keroro Platoon alongside Keroro, Giroro, Tamama and Kururu. They were given the mission to conquer Pekopon (Earth).

On Pekopon Zeroro was caught in a bear trap, abandoned by his teammates until he was saved and adopted by the kunoichi Koyuki Azumaya. She taught him the the ways of the ninja and after renaming himself Dororo, he rejoins the Keroro Platoon.

As a child, Zeroro was friends with Keroro and Giroro. Their friendship brought them to be blood brothers (as stated by Keroro). Out of the two, Giroro was his closest friend. However, Zeroro was exploited by Keroro until Pururu joined.

On Earth, Dororo developed a relationship with Koyuki Azumaya. They live together in a small house in the woods near the city. Both look out for each other when in danger and have sworn to protect the goodness of nature the two trained with. As another rival, Dororo enjoys playing catch with Koyuki's ninja hound, Zeroyasha.

Dororo often ends his sentences with "de gozaru", an archaic form of 'desu'. His laughter thrives from the word zaru. Dororo's self referring nickname, 'sessha', is an archaic male form of "I", primarily used by samurai. Dororo is also fond of using the phrase "the left hand is only for support," which is a subtle nod to his seiyuu's other major role as Hanamichi Sakuragi from Slam Dunk. He is also known to say 'nin, nin' as a form of acknowlegement, and 'Toya!' as a battle shout.

Whenever Dororo needs to communicate with the rest of the platoon, he uses a shuriken made of paper that always seems to embed itself into Keroro's head. Dororo usually does not need to be nearby to perform this.

Dororo's trademark ability, learned during his time in Koyuki's ninja village. He can manipulate his energy to his advantage, creating such attacks as the Meteor Cross Shuriken, one of his signature moves.

Dororo's assassin abilities learned in his tour of duty as a Keronian assassin. He can form battle strategies with his Eyes Of Truth. In addition to strategic skills, these also include energy attacks, much like skills use by other platoon member. However, Dororo energy attack is unique as it usually takes the form of a yellow, giant shuriken.

Dororo holds other abilities beyond Dororo Ninja Art and Assassin Magic. His shinobi form contains a technique named Dohotaru: Soraruta, inwich he is engulfed in fire in the shape of a phoenix that runs through the enemy. He serves as the user of the Keroro Shōtai Dokushtei Chō Hisotsudan, in which an energy ball is passed on by the group until it is launched by Dororo.

the garuru platoon

GARURU PLATOON

The Garuru Platoon came to Earth to defeat the Keroro Platoon and finish the mission that they failed to do; conquer Earth. They came close to completing the mission, but the Keroro Platoon managed to defeat them. Then, they revealed that they were just supposed to test the abilities of Keroro Platoon and left.

The Garuru Platoon got a new member (Pururu) and was given the mission of investigating the crime of Gunpla and desserts stealing. They defeated the Keroro Platoon Double and paid a visit to Keroro Platoon after that.

Garuru Platoon appeared again and helped Keroro Platoon by attacking ZZZ, a monster who was going to destroy the Earth. However the attacks weren't strong enough to defeat ZZZ and the spaceship of Garuru Platoon was hit by ZZZ's attack. Garuru also demonstrated how to read ZZZ's name without biting his tongue.

The Garuru Platoon make a cameo appearance during the end credits of the 3rd Keroro Gunso Movie.

First Lieutenant Garuru (ガルル中尉 Garuru Chūi)
Giroro's elder brother. He, much like Giroro, is a straight man and follows military rules strictly. Unlike Giroro, he does not fire his weapons in barrages; instead, he is the best sniper in the whole army, with a devastating one-shot-one-kill style. He came to earth with his team to replace Keroro's (not too successful) team. His name is taken from garuru, the Japanese word for a growl. His emblem resembles an upsidedown "A" with a line going down the middle.

Garuru is a Keronian S-rank sniper, a first lieutenant of the Keron Army, the leader of the Garuru Platoon and Giroro's older brother. The Keron Army sent the Garuru Platoon to replace the Keroro Platoon in their mission to conquer Pekopon. Garuru defeated his brother in a one-on-one gun match, but was later defeated in a rematch. Thanks to the Keroro Platoon's friendship and united power, the Garuru Platoon was defeated. It was however strongly hinted that Garuru's true mission was merely to test the abilities of the Keroro Platoon.

Garuru and his platoon appear again to face a robotic replica of the Keroro Platoon. He and his platoon return once more to aid the Keroro Platoon in defeating ZZZ.

Later on Garuru returns to earth for a short visit during his vacation. Besides a box of goodies for the rest of the platoon he brings a certain item to Giroro on behalf of his father, a fast-growing sweet potato, something Giroro wanted for Natsumi. However it quickly grows into a large, flying sweet potato-like monster and the brothers have to team up to bring it down. This is obiously a ploy by their father to teach them a lesson and how to work together. In the end Powered Natsumi shows up, helping Garuru defeat the potato with her beam sabers, as it is immune to guns and such ballistic weapons, and Garuru appears impressed by the girl. During the fight with the potato, there is a flashback from Giroro and Keroro's childhoood where we see a younger, presumably teenage Garuru defending his younger brother and friend against two bullies intending to take over their secret base, by allowing himself to be beat up (as evidence). Another interesting detail is that the younger Garuru wears the same kind of belt as present day Giroro, with a rectangular buckle.

Garuru is a light purple adult Keronian. His eyes are hidden by a yellow visor and the center of his dark purple hat points downward with a point at the end. There's some speculation about the color of his eyes, in some manga based art he appears with red eyes. He wears a weapons belt across his right shoulder and the left side of his waist with a round buckle. His symbol is a red, upside down "A" with a downward line at the center.

Garuru is the older brother of Giroro. He and his brother have a slight rivalry, but it seems like Garuru is willing to really bend the rules to make sure Giroro gets to stay on Pekopon and complete the invasion. On more than one occasion he has tampered with evidence to make the Keroro platoon seem more competent or their Pekoponian allies (more specifically Natsumi) seem much more dangerous.

Garuru carries a large arsenal of weapons. The most common of them is the State-of-the-Art Sniper Rifle. During the Keroro Platoon's counter-attack, he made use of the GundamNu Gundam's Fin Funnels. RX78-GP02's Atomic Bazooka and Shield, as well as the

Garuru is unable to use chopsticks properly.

Garuru's use of the weaponry and equipment of the RX78-GP02, is a nod to his seiyuu Akio Ohtsuka, who portrayed Anavel Gato in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083.

Private First Class Taruru (タルル上等兵 Taruru Jōtōhei)
Tamama's "apprentice". During his days as a cadet, he came to visit Tamama, and wound up causing trouble by revealing how Tamama had bragged about being the real brains of the squad, and what Tamama "really" thought of his comrades. Taruru eventually joined the army, and became part of Garuru's team. During the Garuru Platoon invasion, he defeated Tamama, and put shame onto his master. He ranks higher than Tamama, fueling Tamama's already existing jealously of Taruru. He is put back in his place as a student by Tamama when he acquires lent strength by a 'Legendary Super Rhinoceros Beetle' . His trademark attacks are "Taruru Genocide" and "Taruru Genocide GX". His emblem is a fukushi mark (old driver's mark), opposite to the Tamama's new driver's mark emblem. He often ends his sentences with 'su' which is an abbreviation of 'desu'.

Taruru used to be Tamama's apprentice, and still calls him "master," or "senpai." Taruru was more clumsy than Tamama in the past. Taruru is a blue Keronian tadpole. His symbol is an orange and yellow raindrop shaped emblem, the mark of an "old driver" in Japan, but he matured faster. He now has adult features instead of tadpole features. Taruru first appeared to see if all the rumors about the Keroro Platoon was true, revealing what Tamama told him about the platoon. In the anime he also appeared a couple of times with his childhood friend Karara, forming a duo of mischievous tadpoles. Despite Taruru's clumsiness in the past, he had become very skilled when training in the Garuru Platoon and has skills that exceeded Tamama's, defeating him in a face-off. He then captures Momoka and Paul, then later on also captures Mois. After Keroro encourages his platoon to rise Tamama, after receiving power from the Super Rhinoceros Beetle, and Tamama returns for a rematch and Taruru is defeated.

Attacks

  • Taruru Genocide: Taruru shoots light-blue beams from his eyes.
  • Shining Taruru Genocide EX: A powered-up version on Taruru Genocide.
  • Taruru Genocide GX: A a far more powered-up version of Taruru Genocide EX.
  • Taruru Genocide DX: A powered-up version of Taruru Genocide GX.
  • Taruru Ball: Taruru uses energy to make a small energy ball that he throws at the enemy.

When an explosion occurs and Taruru is even remotely close to the blast, he almost always gets caught up in it.

Lance Corporal Zoruru (ゾルル兵長 Zoruru Heichō)
A fellow ninja, previous comrade/rival of Corporal Dororo, and part of the Garuru platoon. The left side of his body is robotic thanks to a long-ago feud with Dororo, and seeks revenge for this incident. For this reason, he joins the Garuru platoon. When Dororo tells him that he forgot who he was, he leaves in a huff. Details of Zoruru's left side of his body show him having a metallic arm with a thumb that can be extended into a sword. His emblem is a three-pronged shuriken.

Zoruru is the assassin of the Garuru Platoon. He is known for his grudge against Dororo, and seems to be completely focused on getting revenge. During his platoon's invasion on Earth, he destroyed Mutsumi and Koyuki, as an attempt to provoke Dororo to come forth; however, Dororo revived them later by using his ninja powers to stab their ship. Zoruru finally meets up with Dororo at the end of the fight between the Keroro Platoon and the Garuru Platoon. Zoruru reveals that he never held much interest in the invasion of Earth to begin with, only wishing to seek out Dororo in order to fulfill his revenge. Sadly, Dororo holds no recollection as to whom Zoruru is and desparately tries to remember his name, but fails. This causes great disappointment to Zoruru, as he wasn't even recognized by the very character who is well known to be ignored by many and he slowly fades away. When the Garuru Platoon leaves, Zoruru is in a position which is seen many times, Dororo's trauma switch.

After this episode, there is a running gag for him to be forgotten in one form or the other; such as when he is the only one left out without an introduction in the special chapter of volume 13.

In the Tokyopop version of volume 10 of Sgt. Frog, the letter R and K were written backwards whenever he spoke. This was however dropped with the following volume and his brief appareance in volume 13.

In chapter 134 (manga), Zoruru travels to Earth to finally get his sought-after battle with Dororo. He sneaks into the Keroro Platoon's invasion meeting and glues the rest of the platoon to their chairs before going for Dororo. In the battle Dororo is forced to resort to his special armor, but in the end Keroro barges in and distracts Dororo by falling on his head, thus allowing Zoruru to defeat him. Zoruru is then more or less scared off by Keroro actually standing up for his platoon mate, demanding to know what Zoruru is doing there. Of course, this is revealed to have been done by some dark subconscious part of Keroro and he has no recollection of it later. Zoruru returns to Keron, thinking that he would resume the fight someday because it wasn't really fair.

Zoruru is a gray Keronian frog whose left side has been replaced with metal implants. His left arm has a retractable blade, which is his primary weapon. He has an artificial eye in the place of his right eye, and the entire left side of his face is covered by a metal plate. When he was a child he still had both eyes and their coloration was the same as his one artificial eye.

As a child Zoruru went to the same school as Dororo. In a flashback he is shown attempting to make contact with Zeroro, calling him "Exchange Student", presumably Zeroro went to a different school before this. But just as Zeroro is about to turn to Zoruru, Keroro shows up and Zoruru is quickly ignored and even forgotten.

Relationships

Zoruru appears to be a bit of a lone wolf, though he does follow orders as long as they don't go against his own goals in life. When given the opportunity he has no objection to running off unauthorized to fight his childhood rival, Zeroro.

Zoruru has a relationship, even if it's rather one-sided, with Dororo, or Zeroro as he calls him that seems to go way back. From recent developments in the manga it all seems to have started when Zoruru is ignored in favor of the more outgoing and noisy Keroro. This seems to have made Zoruru determined to teach Dororo once and for all that he is someone to be noticed and remembered, even if he has to beat him up to do so.

Recruit Tororo (トロロ新兵 Tororo Shinpei)
He is a young hacker who used to try to outhack Kururu back in military school, but failed every time. He was recruited after basically disabling the Keron Force by hacking into their networks. During the Garuru invasion, he was able to beat Kururu in hacking, but was put in his place when Kururu realized that Tororo was using a poorly copied hacking system that he made eons ago, and hacked it. In the anime, Kururu sent every available mech he had ever made, and sent them to attack Tororo's computer room . He also has about the same personality as Kururu, except he cannot keep cool under pressure like his rival. Like Kururu, he started his years of computer maintenance and hacking earlier in his life resulting in his skills right now. Tororo is still immature and does not think anyone is better than him. Kururu proves that wrong though. Ever since the invasion, Tororo has developed both a grudge and a fear of Kururu. His emblem is a circle with three pegs coming out of it.
Age: 7-9 Years (Earth years) (youngest member of the Garuru Platoon)
Seiyu:
Kappei Yamaguchi

Tororo is the hacker of the Garuru Platoon who thinks he's better than everyone else. He is a red Keronian tadpole that bears a striking resemblance to baby Kururu and his symbol is a circle with three bumps. He hacked into the Keroro Platoon's systems during the Garuru Platoon's invasion. Kururu faced him, but was (for the first time in his unsettling existence) stumped; Tororo was one problem Kururu could not fix. Keroro gave his soldiers a pep talk, Dororo threw an energy shuriken into the Garuru Platoon's base, freeing Paul, Momoka, Koyuki, and Mutsumi; and Kururu hacked Tororo's base, making all his mechas, which were originally sent to attack the Keroro Platoon's base, attack Tororo's base.

With his glasses and ship destroyed, a computer falls on Tororo's face and he is knocked out, while Kururu announces that he has 'Gotten rid of the annoying thing'. During the encounter with the Keroro Platoon Double, he mistakes Kururu Double for the real Kururu and, driven by anger and the thirst of revenge, Tororo wipes out Kururu Double, along with the rest of the Keroro Platoon Double and even almost the Garuru Platoon in the process.

Chief Medic Pururu (プルル看護長 Pururu Kangocho)
The newest and only female member of the Garuru Platoon. She falls in love with Keroro and when meeting him in person, Keroro fell for Pururu. She wields large syringes as well as a wing pack and assists Garuru in battle. Her emblem is a heart.

Pururu appears in the series as the most recent and only female member of the Garuru Platoon, a chief medic and expert nurse, and a childhood friend to Sergeant Keroro, Corporal Giroro, and Lance Corporal Dororo. She has an energetic, down-to-earth, and somewhat strict and stubborn personality, but is also nonviolent and mature, unlike most of the major characters of the series. Pururu's appearance consists of violet skin, a pink cap with a yellow-and-pink heart symbol, and large purple eyes. When she was a young child, the cap was flat and had a light pink flower on it, but is now pointed up on both sides, giving a catgirl-ear-impression to her head (she is sometimes shown with a violet afro wig). Her tadpole appearance might make you think she's as young as Tamama or Tororo, but it seems like this is the way Mine Yoshizaki draws adult females. Her cute looks and charming demeanor makes anyone to feel attached to her, notably the young Giroro and the current Keroro. Pururu also has a very mothering (some might call it bossy) personality. She is not above throwing her weight around to get what she wants, especially when the Keroro and Garuru platoons are involved.

Pururu was part of Keroro's friendship alliance alongside Giroro and Zeroro. They hung out in an underground club house. They lived under the wisdom of their elder friend Joriri who helped them fight back against bullies and other conflicts. She appeared in the short for Keroro Gunso the Super Movie 2: The Deep Sea Princess named "Chibi Kero: Secret of the Kero Ball", in which she and the rest of the alliance are trapped within a prototype Kero Ball until freed by Kururu.

She graduated from the Keron Military Academy, alongside her childhood friends under the rank of nurse, and later chief medic. However, in the manga it's said that she first worked for a civilian corporation before she joined the Keron Forces, inspired by her three childhood friends.During the Garuru Platoon's promotions, she joined them with the first mission of investigating the stolen items desired by the Clone Keroro Platoon. She is currently promoted to the task of giving the Keronians medical check-ups and injections.

Pururu was the childhood friend of Keroro, Giroro, and Zeroro (currently Dororo). At the time, Giroro had a crush on Pururu until growing out of it. After meeting a more mature and beautiful Pururu, Keroro develops an amorous crush for her, causing a rivalry between her and Angol Mois, another one of Keroro's hopeful lovers. She is currently partnered with Chiruyo Tsukigami.

Pururu uses large syringes as both weapons and medical tools. For combat purposes, the syringes can be used for close range offense and can discharge energy beams. For medical purposes, it simply records the health of those it injects. An after effect fills those injected with slight ecstacy. She also has access to the ability to take on a human form, as revealed in episode 180. Pururu is also one of the few characters to effectively control Kururu.

Her trauma switch turns on when someone calls her Oba-chan. (Oba-chan can either mean auntie, in an affectionate way, or old lady... in a not so affectionate way)
